History

Bru Youth Service Building

Bru Youth Service was established in 2008 to work with young people from Crumlin and Walkinstown. The need for a youth work organisation had been identified by a group of local volunteers who campaigned over a number of years for a dedicated youth facility that could provide young people with a safe space to engage in developmental activities.

Today, Bru Youth Service has 5 full time employees, 2 part time, Tus and CE workers and a dedicated team of volunteers who are all working to provide a quality youth service to young people. This is a testament to the history of the building and the many great people who have contributed to its development and success.

Prior to 2008, the building had been a local youth club run by volunteers and has been in existence since 1971. The youth club is still running today and continues to provide a safe setting for young people. Its called Bru Crumlin Youth Club and you can drop in to them on Monday evenings between 7:30-9pm for more information.
